50% baby camel hair, 50% wool.
An uncommon pairing of natural fibers — insulating yet weightless, remarkably soft, with a brushed finish and a faint sheen. Breathable, luxurious to the touch, and built for everyday use.

Care: Dry clean only. Skip the washing machine and the tumble dryer — camel hair and wool firm up and shrink a little in a warm, moving wash, and they do not relax back. Airing between uses is most of the upkeep; blot spills rather than rubbing. Store folded and away from moisture to preserve the integrity of the fibers. Long brushed pile that sits high off the weave — the warmth is in the loft rather than the weight. Softer in the hand than a woven surface, and best kept somewhere it will be touched: a sofa arm, the end of a bed. Made for all genders and body types.

Made to live on the sofa and move through the room with you. Veil sits neatly over an arm when not in use, then comes to the desk when the afternoon turns cold.

Why choose the Veil blanket over Hush or Lilt?

For the surface. Veil is 50% baby camel hair and 50% wool with a long, brushed pile and a faint sheen — the warmth sits in the loft rather than in the weight, and at 527 g/m² it is the lightest cloth of the three. Hush is dense and short-piled; Lilt is springy lambswool. All three are 47 × 59 in / 120 × 150 cm, so pick by how you want it to feel.
Is Veil suitable if I find wool scratchy?

It is the gentlest surface we make, and it still contains 50% wool. A brushed finish changes what your hand meets first, not what the cloth is made of. If wool against bare skin is a definite no for you, use it over clothing — which is how most people use a throw anyway — rather than expecting the brushing to solve it.
Is Veil a sofa throw or a bed blanket?

A throw. 47 × 59 in / 120 × 150 cm goes round the shoulders, across a lap, or folded over the arm of a sofa. Laid across the foot of a bed it adds a layer; it will not cover a double bed.
Does Veil's brushed camel hair surface shed?

More than our flatter weaves, especially in the first few weeks — that is what a long pile does. It settles. Keep it away from Velcro, watch clasps and rough bag straps, which pull the pile rather than shedding it. If you own a dark coat and a cat, this is the piece in the range that will show both, and Hush's short pile is the easier one to live with.
Is the baby camel hair in Veil real?

Yes. Camel and sheep fibres look different under a microscope, and a third-party laboratory counted them apart using AATCC Test Method 20A, the American standard for it. This cloth came back at 50/50, inside a measurement tolerance of roughly three percentage points — which a half-and-half blend absorbs easily.
How do I care for Veil's brushed finish?

Dry clean only, and seldom — airing does most of the work, somewhere shaded so the colour holds. Shake it out rather than brushing it hard. Store it folded and loose rather than compressed, so the pile keeps its loft.
How should I store the Veil blanket over the summer?

Camel and wool are both on the menu, so store it clean at the end of the season — larvae are after the oils and traces in used cloth more than the fibre itself. Keep it somewhere that breathes rather than anywhere that traps moisture, and look in on it a couple of times over the summer. If you suspect a piece, seventy-two hours sealed in a freezer kills larvae and eggs.
What does Veil in Sand Dune go with?
