100% wool
A pure wool weave with natural warmth and texture — insulating, breathable, and built for everyday use. Soft against the skin and easy to live with day to day.

Care: Dry clean only. Skip the washing machine and the tumble dryer — wool firms up and shrinks a little in a warm, moving wash, and it does not relax back. Airing between uses is most of the upkeep; blot spills rather than rubbing. For pilling, spills, and storage, see our Care Guide.
Fit

30 × 40 in / 76 × 101 cm. One size — Hush, at a size that lives at a desk.

Small enough to keep in a drawer and fold into a bag, generous enough to cover the lap and knees with room to tuck in at the sides of a chair. It is a lap blanket rather than a shoulder layer: at this size it will not wrap and stay closed across the back. Made for all genders and body types.

Is Hush Petit big enough to be useful at a desk?

30 × 40 in / 76 × 101 cm — sized for a seated lap and both knees, with enough left to tuck in at the sides of a chair. It is a lap blanket, not a shoulder layer: at this size it will not wrap and stay closed across your back. Lay the long edge across your lap if you want more coverage at the sides.
Should I choose Hush Petit or the full-size Hush blanket?

The same cloth, a different life. Petit folds into a drawer or a bag and comes home at the weekend; Hush at 47 × 59 in covers more on a sofa but is not something you carry. If what you actually want is a layer to put on when you stand up, neither is the answer — the open-front Ember Cape is shaped for that.
Will Hush Petit feel scratchy on bare legs?

It is 100% wool and it has the texture that comes with that. Over trousers you will not notice it. On bare legs, if wool usually bothers you, it will bother you here too — which is the honest reason we think of this as a piece for the months you are already dressed for the cold.
How do I look after Hush Petit at the office?

Dry clean only, but rarely. Airing it at the weekend does most of the work. Keep it off the floor and clear of chair castors, which is how desk blankets actually die. Blot a spill immediately rather than rubbing it, and take it in for cleaning only when airing stops being enough.
How should I store Hush Petit over the summer?

Store it clean. Moth larvae are after the skin oils and food traces held in worn wool more than the fibre itself, so a piece that goes away clean is a much poorer meal. Keep it somewhere that breathes rather than anywhere that traps moisture, and look in on it once or twice over the summer — damage is usually well under way before an adult moth is ever seen. Seventy-two hours in the freezer, sealed, will kill anything already in a suspect piece.
Will Hush Petit pill?

Hush Petit is a dense, short-pile weave, so it holds its surface well. Small pills can appear where it rubs against a chair or a jumper — friction rather than a fault. A comb or a sweater stone lifts them; pulling them off by hand takes good fibre with them.
Is Hush Petit really 100% wool?

Yes — the same cloth as the full-size Hush, tested by a third-party laboratory under AATCC Test Method 20 and found 100% wool, with no tolerance applied, because a 100% claim does not get one.
What does Hush Petit in Golden Hearth go with?

Golden Hearth works with cream, brown, black or denim. Screens shift colour more than most people expect, so if it is wrong when it arrives it goes back — the terms are in Shipping & Returns above.
