A midweight cotton denim in Dusk Denim — a deep indigo that fades and softens with use, the way good denim should. No synthetics, no coating; it wears in rather than out. Deep indigo may transfer to light-colored clothing or upholstery, especially when new.

Care: Spot clean or hand wash cold, then hang to dry. Expect some indigo transfer at first — wash separately.

The bag is 17.7 × 11 in / 45 × 28 cm and takes up to a 15-inch laptop alongside everyday things. There is no lining and no padded compartment — it is one open space with a magnetic snap at the top — so use a sleeve. Laptop footprints vary more than the screen size suggests, so measure your machine rather than trusting the inch number.
Will the Gather tote stand up, or does it collapse?

It collapses, on purpose. This is a soft, unstructured tote in 100% cotton denim: it holds its shape when it is full and folds flat when it is empty. That means it stores away in a drawer, and it also means that set down half-empty it will slump and you will be reaching into a soft bag rather than a rigid one. If you want something that stands open on a desk, this is not it.
Will the Gather tote's strap sit comfortably over a coat?

The strap is wide with a 9 in / 23 cm drop, made for shoulder carry rather than crossbody. Over a thick winter coat that drop leaves less room under the arm — compare it with a bag you already wear over outerwear. A loaded tote on a narrow shoulder always wants to slide; a wide strap helps, but it is still a shoulder bag, not a rucksack.
Can the Gather tote's denim transfer colour onto light clothing?

Yes, especially when it is new, and in both directions — deep indigo can mark a pale coat, and your own jeans can mark the bag. Wear it with darker clothing for the first few weeks and avoid leaving it pressed against pale fabric. It fades and settles with use. If it has already marked something, patient repeated washing usually lifts it; it is rarely permanent.
How do I wash the Gather denim tote?

Hand wash cold and separately — separately matters, because of the indigo — then hang to dry. Spot clean for anything small. It will soften and fade, which is what cotton denim does and is not a fault.
